Chiaroscuro – The concept
Chiaroscuro is a unique art form in which the use of light symbolizes different things and gives them a sense three dimensions. Chiaroscuro an Italian word for light and darkness, which gives an advantage in drawing, painting and engraving done on two canvases dimension.
History
To trace the history, the 5th century BC, "Shadow-Painting", was evident in Greece. The art form has survived through the Byzantine Empire (first century 4-1453).
